About

I'm Ejits, a passionate illustrator, artist and muralist from Bristol, UK. My work is a fusion of inspiration drawn from the realms of classic American animation, indie computer games, Japanese character design, graphic design, and street art. These are blended to form a unique character-driven illustrative style that can be applied to any surface.

My work is intended to be a joyful riot of colour and imagination that evokes a happy sense of nostalgia and a playful sense of humour.

From private and commercial commissions that transform spaces, freelance projects that allow me to explore new creative territory, to large scale public artwork that leaves a memorable mark on the landscape, there is no limit to where my distinct designs can flourish.

Ways you can work with Ejits:

  • I’m available for mural commissions and have experience painting internal and external large-scale wall art for public art events, private building owners and commerical businesses on a variety of surfaces.

My most notable piece to date has been as part of a series of six murals organised by Upfest to bring Bristol and the UK its largest female-led street art project. I painted the facade above one of the six terraced shops on North Street now known as the Six Sisters. These are permanent pieces and have become a Bristol city landmark.

More detailed info and examples of my mural work can be found on my murals page.

  • I have extensive experience painting commissions for exhibitions, private customers and corporate clients.

I love the challenge of painting on almost any surface for example large-scale canvases, skateboards, spray cans, furniture, art toys and even shoes to name a few.

I regularly contribute pieces towards exhibitions and public art shows both nationally (UK) and globally in Europe and America.

  • I have over ten years of experience working for clients, big and small, in print and online as a graphic designer and illustrator. I love to harness those skills alongside the unique illustrative style I’ve created as Ejits to work in collaboration with businesses who are looking to bring vibrant eye-catching characters to their brand.

  • I provide workshops for public and private events.

I have developed a ‘Draw Like Ejits’ 2-hour workshop that guides you through how to draw cute Ejits-style characters and explore the shapes and colours of my signature style. You go away with a finished illustration of your own making. This workshop is great for a group of people interested in practising their drawing skills.

I also have a doodle art workshop I’ve created for teams wanting to activate the creative and imaginative part of the brain. As a group, we create a sketch/design for a doodle art poster based on the theme of your choice. I guide you through the process of doodling visual representations of aspects of your theme and combining them in one poster. I then take your ideas away and work up a finished poster which I send to you once complete. This creates the perfect art piece for framing and referring to whenever you and your team need a creative boost.

I have also developed a spray paint and Posca doodle workshop that I ran with students as part of The University of Bristol’s Welcome Festival in September 2023. This is a great workshop to do if you have some outside or a well-ventilated space.

I can also tailor a workshop to your needs.

I list all upcoming workshops through Yuup which you can find here.
